Zoom, one of the most used tools in the business world, has introduced a new automation tool powered by artificial intelligence, designed to relieve workers from repetitive and administrative tasks.
This innovation will allow employees to focus on activities that generate more significant results as hybrid work becomes established in various industries.
The new service, called Workflow Automation, is based on no-code automation templates that users can select and modify according to their needs, thus allowing the integration of third-party applications along with Zoom’s own software.
A great no-code AI breakthrough
Wei Li, head of the company’s Chat Team, emphasized that this tool is designed to be accessible even for those without a technical background, stressing that “empowering people with AI to do more is fundamental to what we do at Zoom.”
Among the features offered by Workflow Automation is the ability to automatically generate summaries after meetings, which can then be added to Zoom, Google, or Word documents, and shared in Team Chat channels, all without the need for additional user intervention after the initial setup.
Zoom has highlighted its no-code approach as an advantage over its competitors, which often require certain technical knowledge to use their tools. The company positions itself as an accessible option for many organizations, which could lead to significant improvements in productivity.
In addition to the new automation tool, Zoom has expanded the functionalities of its AI Companion tool. With the integration of additional microphones through users’ laptops, an improvement in audio quality in Zoom Rooms is promised.
They also announce the launch of a YouTube application within Zoom meetings, ensuring a smoother and lag-free video experience.
Paid subscribers of Zoom will have access to Workflow Automation at no additional cost, as long as they use version 6.3.10 or higher of the desktop application.
